Spray on fabric protector for clothes to protect against staining ?

I bought a cool jacket but far too light in colour and for far too much money that I'm scared to wear it.

Anyone know of a sprayon proector and where to get it ?I'm sure I've heard of it before... well, not that sure actually...

Maybe try bunnings if you're near one, they used to keep it in the housewares deptartment. Or I would assume a supermarket would stock it aswell?

You'll get Scotchguard at your local supermarket, or a hardware store.

Edit: Be aware that it needs to be reapplied every time the garment is dry-cleaned or shampooed (if it's shampoo-able - yay! new word!).

PFOS was found to be toxic, but Scotchgard was reformulated with a different chemical - related, but with much shorter half-life and without toxicity - from 2002.

worked fine so far..... hav eto reapply each time you wash it, but at any ditrt on it has come off in the wash
