looking for a builder in Newcastle

Hi fellow somersofters!

Im looking for a builder for a four-townhouse development in Jesmond. Construction is anticipated to start in 4 months. Any help will be much appreciated

hi art by design ... i too am looking for a builder for four townhouses in broadmeadow. i have been told of a few "not" to go with, but have only had one "to" go with recommendation - valley homes at maitland.

i've sent them my construction and da plans to do a full costing and was hoping to get at least one other builder for a costing to compare ... but ... i'm reluctant to go with little unknown fellas due to the number of builders failing atm, and the big guys (ie, macdonald jones homes) want to charge a $1000 fee for them to look at the plans - which is not refundable if you don't go with them.

i know the big guys have to cover their costs - but if they turn out to be not competitive then i've done a couple of $1000 just to get quotes. valley homes don't charge this fee.

Will check out valley homes, while look for some other options. Which ones are the 'not to go with'? I was more interested in small timers...
