Looking for professional help on IP in Adelaide

Can anyone in Adelaide recommend a good accountant that I can talk to in regards to IP and how it will affect my tax etc?

Also looking for a good building inspector as well?

Don't mind paying a bit more for good service and advice.

In peoples experiences if you buy a house that has asbestos how much does it cost to get removed? Will the building inspector be able to pick up what is asbestos etc? Or should I get a specialized asbestos person in before making a decision on purchasing the house?

Not from Adelaide. But why don't you continue to read the forum until someone replies - there is ample info on tax effects of buying IP's.

Or read the ATO website. Or google 'tax effects property' and see what you find. You can learn by yourself very easily instead of paying someone else. Also bear in mind that you must look for a property specialist accountant because most accountants will not know too much about investing - if you don't choose wisely the accountant you speak to will tell you to negatively gear - whilst this can work - it probably won't get you very far if you are looking to by many IP's over time. Hope that helps.

I dont want investment advise, rather advise on how my tax will be affected once I have an IP, need to know how much I should be negativly geared to suit my tax situation.

You may want to rethink the negative gearing strategy.

Perhaps look at the benefits of both negative gearing and positive cashflow and then the negatives of both strategies and make up your mind then.

3. BPI Adelaide: 1800 609 065 (Building & Pest)

I would use any of these 3 inspectors if buying for myself.
