Melbourne Lawyer recommendations

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a Melbourne lawyer specilising in Property Law. I have a friend whos in a mess, has to do with caveats, family trust with an ex being a benficiary etc. They need a caveat removed on property that was put there by the ex.

Any help appreciated.

Tony Raunic runs the property team for Hunt & Hunt Lawyers in Melbourne. He and his team have dealt with many such caveat disputes. Apparently there are 3 general ways to remove a caveat in Victoria if the caveator refuses to voluntarily withdraw, being:

1. by an application under section 89A of the Transfer of Land Act;

2. on the caveat lapsing pursuant to section 90(1) of the Transfer of Land Act following registration of a dealing; or

3. by obtaining a court order under section 90(3) of the Transfer of Land Act.

Hunt & Hunt have experience obtaining removal under each of these methods so it might be best for you to contact Tony, whose details are below. If you click on the website link you will be able to review his profile. Good luck!
