Metricon Dual Occupancy

Personally never, but friends of mine from Melbourne did build with metricon and they had an average experience. However these guys are developers and are doing about 20 homes per year - so maybe they are more critical and experience then others. They also use another company called Hotondo Homes and they swear by it. Anyway put your toes in the water and see how it goes......
 
i looked at the design but see nothing special about these houses. so what's the deal with these "dual occ"? the brochure says "You and your family may choose to live in one home, leaving the second for extended family or as an investment." what does that mean? do they build you two homes for a discount?
 
The price refers to one house. The Dual Occupancy means that they have designed houses that fix on smaller blocks and therefore if you were wanting to subdivide your block they suggest that one of their five options may be helpful....
