One of my guesthouses is on a highway and noisy with very tall windows. Ideas on noise insulation and to a lesser extent highway grime if people open the windows? We're second floor and lots of windows...I don't think roller shutters would do anything for noise really, might help dust. The building will eventually be knocked down so no point with nice double glazing.
I'm looking at magnetite - is it a con job or does it help? Are there some sort of easily obtainable sound proofing curtains even?
