VW, what year is it? how old is the paint?
1972 (a smidgen older than me)
It's been repainted at some stage in a very nice green with a pearlescant on it which make it greener or blue in some lights. The roof is showing quite a bit of fade too
I've owned it 4mths and loving it.
For now I am just wash and waxing by hand.
