painting colour idea

Hi,

Does anyone has suggestion or idea for exterior colour and interior colour?

eg. colour combination for exterior of the house is
Black roof, black down pipe, then the wall is grey?
will it look funny?

interior maybe all white? soft green? soft cream?

and i always wondering why the cost to hire a painter cost Dearly???
