Parklea NSW

I was checking Parklea last week to look for IP. I found that prices of land and houses are cheaper compared to Stanhope Gardens and Kellyville Ridge. Anyone here familiar with this suburb? Any issues or bad things I should know about Parklea?

Parklea is cheaper than Stanhope Gardens (not by much) and Kellyville Ridge for a no. of reasons. As Bob's already mentioned, the prison can turn some buyers off (though it's not a maximum security centre anymore) but it certainly doesn't seem to concern the buyers I've known who've bought in the area.
Kellyville Ridge homes tend to be predominantly two storey and on larger blocks than Parklea and also keep in mind that Parklea is actually quite a small suburb compared to the surrounding ones of Quakers Hill, Glenwood and Kellyville.

Block sizes are generally smaller (350-500sqm) as opposed to older established suburbs and build quality varies widely as well. Just a few issues to be aware of. Hope this helps.
