PIG meetings

thanks Tizzy, I'm happy to make it the 3rd Monday of each month. I'll have a scout round for rooms in pubs (i don't frequent the scene anymore though so I'll be starting from scratch!).
If anyone else has ideas re venue please post. :)

If you are looking at the subi area, l know the Witchs Cauldron has a couple of lovely big rooms that they dont charge for the use of, however there menu is on the pricey side of the scale. But during the week you can BYO.They do have some pretty good deals with set menu.
If you are interested in looking into this further joannep l can help out with a good contact there.PM me
There is also the fish chip/salad place called Atlantis in Rockeby rd that has pretty reasonable prices and byo but no seperate rooms if you want privacy.
I suppose the venue choice will have to factor in if we will have speakers on occasions or wether we will just eat and get merry every 3rd Monday of the month:D [should we vote on that]
cheers yadreamin

Count me in

I would also be very keen for a regular meeting on the 3rd Monday of the month. Subi sounds great. I know I have RSVP'd to a couple in the past and then not been able to make it...but as Ruby says, if its regular at least everyone can plan.
Looking forward to meeting some of you in person.

Finally!

Cheers, Chris

Thanks, joannep, sounds great! Unf, I'm busy this time. Would you believe I'm hosting a singles evening discussion on ... polygamy!

Yeah, I know, a bit out there :)

See y'all next time!

The Hyde Park Hotel is good as well, with an enclosed area set off to one side for Meetings, Group events etc..nice food to boot ;)

Hi Joannep

Hi all,

I've just started to participate in this forun but I've been an active property investor in Perth for the last 5 years. Would love to be able to chat to you all in person. Count me in for a regular meet. Witches Caldron or Hyde Park sounds gtm.

Lesley

just wondering whether any Perth investors would like to have regular meetings (say monthly or quarterly) in 2007? I'd be happy to organise (well book a table!!:) ) but I'd just like to know how much interest there is?
I'm keen to catch up & socialise with like minded individuals! My friends & family 'switch off' when we talk properties!!;)

It will be great to meet you too LesleyA. I haven't met any of the Perth forumites yet either. I managed to meet everyone at the Michael Yardney seminar, but managed to miss them, so I'm looking forward to this meet. Won't be as big as the SIG but hey, good things come in small packages they say.:)

Interest and Venue

Hey all,

Id be interested in coming along, and a regular day of a month does seem like it could be a good idea. WIth the other 3 catchups we have had in the past theres always people that cant come regardless of the date you set.

Having been to the Hyde park I think it would be a good venue if we can get a meeting room, food there is good and relatively inexpensive. Monday night they are likely not to have anything. With the witchs cauldron being a restaraunt it could be hard to hear others talk.

Hi QL. There's apparently a side room for meetings at the Witches Cauldron. I believe Yadreamin is arranging it.

Hi Tizzy, l checked out the Witch,s and a 2 course set menu. [No garlic prawns included] is. $55.50 and you cannot BYO with the set menus either. I think its a bit pricey for a casual nite out. Just my opinion though. You can just have a main course if you like for about $30,salad or veg extra, but they will not do seperate billing. They do however have a couple of great rooms for meetings, private parties.
Clancy,s fish bar looks quite good for a casual meet and being a Mondy nite should be quite quiet. Hyde park sounds good too.
cheers yadreamin

Although I know none of you and have never met anyone here, I would be interested in attending.
For a first meeting, is it a better idea to have a sit down dinner or just have a cocktail type evening where people can wander around and mingle?

I agree, that is a bit steep yadreamin.
Particularly for a monday night event.
Is someone looking into the other options?

I would be interested in coming along also, Central is good but maybe some of the pubs in the suburbs have cheaper meals etc. Bayswater pub has great meals and reasonable prices ($25), should be quiet on Mondays, but maybe a little bit too east for some, just a suggestion.

Next Meeting
Meeting Date: 30th January 2007.

Hi Redwing, this seems the ideal place for our first PIG. Why don't we all meet there & discuss further venues. I still think a set day each month would be good.
I would still like a catch up on the 19th feb (and from there on every third mon of the month). shall we discuss this then?
could you please let Tracy know that i'm keen to attend on 30th jan.
Cheers, jo.

Hi guys,

Not able to attend tonight, Tuesday evenings aren't good for me. Please let me know what arrangements you come up with for regular PIG meetings though. (I'm still very keen for Feb 19th too)

Thanks, and enjoy the night.

Chris
