Polishing/Repairing FBs vs Floating FBs

hi everyone

im looking at cost options for a property that has old floorbaods, that a few are damaged, one from rot from a water leak, to replace and polish (which I dont really want to do), id prefer just to replace and leave, but in case its not good enough

VS

buying and installing floating FBs (only problem is to make it not look too out of place,I might need to do the whole house)

VS

paying bunnings to install budget poly carpets

thanks everyone

In a period style property, original polished floor boards would always be in more demand that the floating style (which in my view, would tend to devalue this kind of property).
