I'm interested in a property that doesn't have any form of car accommdation, which is of concern to me. The only way I think I'd consider it is if a carport could be added, but I have no idea as to requirements or how carports are built. My concern is that there's no room at the side of the house, so it'd block some sun from the windows (faces west) wherever it went. Just curious if anyone had thoughts on the potential of adding a carport to this? I pressume it'd also require council approval? Thanks for any tips.

You'd get a carport on there OK. Use polycarbonate roof sheeting instead of colorbond as this will allow light to come in still.
