G'day all
Spam reduction.
Noticed a few email addresses getting posted. A word of advice... Never post email address as [email protected], you should make it harder for the bots that harvest email addresses by adding junk or spelling some things out.
Examples:
meAThereDOTcom
me@<cut>here.com
me*AT*here*DOT*com
[email protected]
[email protected] (replace zzz with com)
Note the number thing is not as good as it used to be, I think some of the bots are swapping letters and numbers around due to cultural issues in the IT scene.
Another good idea is to have multiple email address, one from yahoo or somewhere else free that you can post and once you contact people you give them the real one. Once the public one is getting heaps of spam you stop using it and generate a new one.
Hope this helps someone.
