We are looking at purchasing a house (looking a few different options) in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney (Maroubra to Randwick and surrounds) with a view to adding value. Some properties of course are for sale by Auction rather than Negotiation. As a result we obviously don't have the option of having an offer accepted subject to the relevant inspection results coming back suitable to us. So we are looking at getting a Building & Pest Inspection for properties we are going to bid on at Auction. We would however also like to get professional estimates of the cost of planned renovations / extensions, including confirmation of which walls are load bearing, whether they can be removed, at what cost etc. To confirm that what we want to do is actually achievable and within budget.
So can anyone recommend a business that would provide this service on top of the standard Building and Pest Inspection? Or would we have to use a separate professional (Eg - Architect) to do this?
And also, can anyone recommend a Builder / Building Company / Architect who works in the Randwick Local Council area?
