Problems with Chat

I seem to have a wee problem.

My Hard Disk crashed and I have had to iinstall a new one.

When I go to click on "Go to Chat" I do not get that prompting for d/load the s/ware and therefore cannot make the connection.

Can you help?

The problem could be that you don't have a Java Virtual Machine installed, or the security settings of your browser are not correct (default internet zone for IE should do the trick).

Here's an easy way to get around it:

Enter the name you use in the chat room (DaveP) and the channel is #ipchat.

couldn't get into the chat room at all last night and still don't know what the problem is/was, so it may not be just you. Was speaking to someone else who had gained access to the chat room without any problems at the same time. A little weird but hey that's computers for you.

Try using IRC software, such as the popular mIRC.

I tried to get into the chatroom myself last night, for the first time in many weeks.

Just my luck. I couldn't get in through the board; when I did eventually get in through mIRC, the only other user (@aalbot) did not want to talk with me
