Is there a quick way to see if someone has replied to my posts without having to look up each post every time I log on.

Just go into your User CP and you can edit the default thread subscription mode. This allows you to receive an email if someone replies to your thread or one you have posted in automatically. Or you can just select which threads you want to receive emails for when you do your post. There is a drop down menu for subscriptions.

Not sure that's what you are after.......but it might help a little.
