RBA Melbourne Cup Day Carnival 2012

Not sure if the thread should be here or in the economics area?

However, I'm keen to let the guessing games, begin if you're keen to participate?

Tuesday, 6 November 2012 = Melbourne Cup Carnival 2012

Its also when the RBA chases some of the spotlight also announcing the official cash rate announcement on that day, Tuesday, 6 November 2012 (2.30 pm) AEDT

Any guesses at the move by the RBA

I'll chuck my hat in the ring at a 50 basis point cut :D

0.25 for me.

The RBA will want to give the retail sector a kick along before Christmas and they need to go now to achieve that. December will be too late.

Gives them three months to see if inflation does keep rising, before their next meeting in February.

50 basis points to finally give the economy the decent kick in the guts it needs.Just went online with Tom,and $500 to Win with maluckyday.Could this be too true...............

Im going 'No change' purely because I have never picked it........

........and secretly hope my prediction is 'wrong' for the right reasons :p!

pinkboy

0.25....the last 6 nov RBA has reduced the cash rate to stimulate the economy and the x-mas spend.

I can't see why this Nov should be any diff + given the fact our economy isn't in the best shape + last x-mas spend was below average....

I am voting for 0.25 cut tomorrow and also predicting the big 4 banks to pass on the full rate cut.

Cheers,
Oracle.
