The upside is you don't have to learn new rates again

Shame they didn't drop the rates - the pressure is on the December meeting now

I think the strong retail figures made the decision for them.

If they had still been weak, then they would have dropped now to get the cut in place for the Xmas spend.

I guess the odds for a December cut have shorted dramatically now as the next time they could cut will be February.
