Restumping qns

For those of u who have had ur property restumped, is it better to go for concrete stumps or wood stumps?

I got a quote for 30 concrete stumps, soil test and permit for $5k. Does that seem about right?

We paid around $12k for 80 concrete stumps and permit in Vic. No access under house so we had to take the floor up first....not a happy time.

Make allowance in your budget for anything else they find whilst they are under there. We ended up replacing 50 meters of bearers and joists too, can't remember the per meter cost. Something like about $25-30 per meter from memory.

Who did you get quoted? I am also in the same market for it

I saw on here somewhere had mentioned a name "EVERYTHING PROPERTY"
Anyone have any ideas?

Our stumper has always said that the timber posts will last as long as concrete ones.

We generally go with what looks best. External timber, sometimes internal concrete. We choose to suit the house.
