Sale Authority question

We're giving a 14 days Exclusive Sale Authority to an agent. We don't "have" to sell but if we get our price we will.

We're in Victoria, it's a REIV contract.

My question is in regards to the Vendor's Authorised Price

My understanding is if he gets a written offer for the price specified we are commited/obligated to pay his commission regardless if we accept the offer or not. Is that correct?

If that is the case I want to cross that out of the contract all together.
