I had a tenant who complained about the occasional wasp in the apartment, which was a little strange as there was flyscreens on every window.
Anway, we got the maintenance guy to check the eaves, window sill etc but he didnt find anything.
Also told PM to ask the tenant to double check that all windows still had there screens installed.
Two months later the tenant leaves (change of job location).
I did a quick hurried check as the PM was bringing the new tenant through.
The laundry had this cheesy looking curtain, that i removed, and lo and behold a wasps nest just inside the window with the flyscreen sitting on the floor.
It was funny until i had to remove it quickly... fly spray just pisses them off!
Swatting wasps with one hand while pushing the nest out the window with a broom.
More recently moved into a rental townhouse myself.
Next door neighbours (renters) are quite loud! Especially the tv, i ask them to turn it down but it comes back up within hours.
I dont ask them anymore but every so often they "seem" to lose reception
