Site traffic update?

Sim, any chance of an update on site traffic out of interest?

Things feel slower as property prices correct, would be interesting to see if there is a correlation between the price turndown and traffic/post numbers on the site.

Blue line is posts-per-week, red line is 6 week moving average.

The two big dips you see are the Christmas - New Year periods.

The most recent peak above 3,000 posts per week was at the end of April 2011. The highest peak was the 3rd week of January (after everyone came back from holidays and got caught up with things!).

Posts do seem to have slowed down a bit in recent weeks - although the same thing happened this time last year too, with a slowdown in post activity between July and September 2010.

Interestingly, site traffic is steadily rising - although over 45% of the traffic is from "new visitors" rather than "returning visitors".
