The Orange Box??

just a quick question.
At the tp of each post it had Today or a date .next to this is an orange box and if l put my cursor on this box a caption pops up saying unread. Why is this so?
Oh, it is doing this even when l have read the post.

If you refresh the page, those boxes should turn grey and say "read" when you hover over them.
