Wondering if I should stay away from these units with an asbestos roof or not? Also if there are any issues renting out units with asbestos; I'm thinking there is no issues but just checking?
Currently look at some walk up units which has an asbestos roof. My understanding is these roofs were designed for a life of 30 years so is coming to the end of the designed life. However designed and actual life can vary depending on conditions etc.
Building has 10 units, double storey with a roof area of around 400sqm. From another post, quote for removal and replacement was $75/sqm for a residential roof. Total cost ~$30k which is $3k per unit.
