Want to swap tennants?

Have a bit of a tale for you. We have a couple of older ladies renting one of our IPs and they are a little demanding. In the last 2 weeks there have been 4 letters to the PM requesting items to be fixed. Some of them are absolutely justified and have been fixed but some are incredible, and their timing is awful. For example a plumber is sent to fix a leaking tap in the kitchen and the next day we receive a complaint that the one in the bathroom is dripping and can we send a plumber out. We have also had the following requests:

1. The plastic ends on the cords on the ventitian blinds have got the bottom cap missing and the cord poking out of the bottom is fraying

2. The ceramic door handles rattle so can they all be replaced

3. The garden could do with a top fill and dress (or is that a top dress and fill)

4. THe fly screens squeak when you open them so can they all be replaced

5. It takes too long for the hot water to get to the shower.

So to deal with this my husband fronted up today withe the PM and asked to see everything that was a problem. Interestingly not everythign now appears so pressing. We live (fairly) close so this was not a huge problem but it certainly took them by surprise that the landlord showed.

Could this be because we said no to a foxtel satellite dish on the roof?

The lease finished in January so there may be a hassle factor rent increase if they want to re-sign. :)

Ah well all part of the learning process

That list is just funny, isn't it :D

Specially love the frayed cord

Ignore it all. Tell them not to be so petty (in a nice way of course).

Wonder how you can speed the hot water to the shower??

Maybe leaving it trickling 24/7 will have it on tap?

The frayed nylon cords can be fixed with the application of a cigarette lighter or a dob of glue.

Why didn't your husband do the tap washers? I am surprised the plumber didn't check them all while he was there? He would have charged you for a minimum call out so it wouldn't have cost you more for him to check them all.

Cheers,
