We need Speakers

We are again launching our real estate investor network groups in 2008. We have a new venue and lots of exciting ideas for the group.

We have in place several speakers to get us started but would like more for the rest of the year.

We are looking for:

Real life success stories: Profiles of real investors, how they got started, where they are now and what they plan for the future. Learning curves they encountered along the way will help other investors not make the same mistakes so we like to hear it!

Professionals in Real Estate:
Solicitors, accountants, finance people, coaches etc who have a new idea or new and innovative way of doing things. People who can offer general advice on their area of expertise are welcome.
(We do not want people pushing or promoting their brands, or selling properties or promoting their listings to our members)

What is Stoping you?:
People who don't know how to get started can come up and discuss ideas with the group. Ideas can sometimes crystalise into some clear picture that results in action being taken if discussed with other people. The aim of our groups is networking so people are encouraged to make the most of it.

If anyone here wants to be involved in these groups as a speaker please email me [email protected] so that I can fit you into the schedule in advance.

The more speakers we have, the less people have to listen to me! ;)

Xenia,

I'll need to swing through Adelaide some time this year to finally take a squizz at our latest buy.

I'll give you a hoy closer to the date and I'd love to attend your gatherings.

Whether a speaker or not is up for debate, but I've got a few slides put togetehr on what we've done in the past.

Xenia, a concept I think works well is to get 6 or so members of your group to get up and give a 10 minute review of what they are doing. Can really throw the doors wide open to creative thinking outside the box.

It can be further elaborated with specialist acct or lawyer or valuer in the audience shooting questions. This can take the pressure of time pressed pros to get involved in these things, with all the prep they imagine is necessary.

Hi Xenia, I hope you don't mind but I copy and pasted a couple of your paragraphs for my thread about our monthly Perth meetings. (How lazy) It's good to see there is so many groups forming around the country. Good luck with it Xenia!
Dazzling, we'd love to have you show your slides of your portfolio at our Perth meetings some time. PM me if you're interested. Regards, Linda

Hi Xenia

Hi Xenia,

Sorry Jack and I missed meeting you when we came and did our Wrap Presentation in Adelaide at your group's meeting last October (I think).

Rod Schofield, one of our investors, invited us but you were about to have your baby if I recall correctly! Hope it all went well!:)

Best wishes,
Tamar

Great idea about getting people from the group to do presentations. We normally do this in a more formal way: ask them to have powerpoints ready, but getting up at the spur of the moment is a great idea.

Daz, we'd love you to contribute a presentation when you're ready. Send me an email when you are in SA [email protected]

Tamar, yes I missed your presentation but heard it went well. My husband Angelo was chairing the meeting at the time. Thanks for coming along!

Geez I wish I could send this to my old English teacher, I was never good at grammar and spelling (only maths and science) so I'm glad that I have written something of value worth copying :D
