Whats the best alert system or combination???

went to domain, set up a alerts for any new properties in 4 major suburbs, that notify me of any new listings,

in about 2 weeks, I only got notifications from 2 suburbs, and its mostly the same agent putting up ad after ad for otp

so I try re.com.au alerts for a few suburbs, at first glance I was getting about 4 per suburb, except one,

so whats the best way? is it really that hard to get listings of all properties of a suburb or below/above a certain price, or any other criteria to actually damn work?

surely its not that hard to actually have an alert feature that actually works?

edit: I as a test used domain, put in a request to have every property in the country under $150k in, in 3 days, I havent got one damn email yet,
but yet when I put in sub $150k, the first 3 results are $700k each!

Not sure why yours inst working, I get emails from Domain every day (and have done so for the past 3-4 years for many different suburbs) and have never had a problem.

I've also used re.com.au in the past and never had a problem either.

Get the real estate agents to add you to their mailing lists directly. You'll not only get new listings, they'll probably also notify you when vendors drop their prices.
