Old/abandoned cars on the street, shoes hanging off powerlines, stray animals, litter all over the neighborhood, graffiti on neighbours' fences, woolies trolleys abandoned, skid marks from car burnouts on the road, some random hobo asking for a dollar for food, etc, etc

In defence of new born babies, sure they cry but it really isn't that loud. I think what you mean is toddler tantrum screaming, now that can burst eardrums

(I hope my neighbours can't hear me yelling at the kids, sometimes the frustration devil overpowers my patience angel)

Just to add to the list, we would never buy a corner block. Nor a house with a neighbour with heaps of cars parked on the front lawn.
