Who bought the $100 million lotto ticket

Just curious how many bought a ticket for the $100+ million dollar lotto for Tuesday?

We bought one last week when it was $70 million.
Always happy when we win any prize, and the $22 was no different.

We splurged, and decided to let it ride...now have 18 chances at the big prize.

If we won, I'd have free or at low cost spay/ neutering for pets.
Lots of other things I would do, as making money wouldn't be my first goal.

Please...

You have 45,379,000 chance of winning Oz Lotto playing one standard game

or

You have 1,603,250 chance of being killed by lightning

Did I buy a ticket?

Hell yeah!

I'm in.

If I won the lot:

$35mil would go to The Royal Childrens Hospital (Melbourne)
$35mil would go to Heart Kids

And the other $30mil would go a few Yachts, Cars, Houses etc..................

And my family would be setup for life. :)

GG

Statistically it would be better to buy all in one go rather than buying one here and there :)

thats it so if you normally go buy a lotto ticket every week you should just buy 52 for one draw (make sure you dont get the same combinations though or your chances will diminish

thats around 800 games for 1100 do you think you can get a profit out of that?

I am too much of a control freak to just give money to charities.

In my instance, I considered just giving money to SPCA, but then I would always be wondering if it was doing what I intended.

By overseeing the place myself (which would include staff), I know it is.
My daughter would be perfect for this. I tease her about being the SPCA now, as they have just rescued their 6th cat.

You would have similar (if not better) odds of putting $20 on red at the casino, doubling it, putting $40 on red, doubling it, $80 on red, doubling it etc all the way up to $100mil.

Just saying.

A 50 game slikpik is $60. Therefore $1.20 per game.

Chances of winning lotto are 1 in 45mil
45 mil x $1.20 = $55mil
Win $100mil - $55mil = $45mil profit

Someone want to lend me $55mil? :p

Normally don't buy the "lotto" tickets but hubby asked me to last week.

Spent $21 and won $44 - so that paid for last weeks' ticket, and another for this week. Thank you universe!

Hey - I'm not selfish - I'm happy to "share" the winnings with 5-10 other winning ticket holders :D

Actually it would be more than $45 mil profit
You would also have the winning numbers for all the next top prizes.

I rarely ever buy...but colleagues were doing a syndicate so we put in $10 x 11 for 70mill and won $22...and now $10 x 10 (as one person just left) + $22 for $100mill...

Will be good to win =)...

Did the person who "just left" take their winning proceeds or was that added to the lotto pool?
They may have a partial claim if there is a win?

They didn't take the winnings and as far as I understand they will have a partial claim if there is a win :)
