Wooden Glass Staircase ...

Hi all,

I was thinking of installing a staircase with wooden steps and glass side panel in my 2 story townhouse.

The builder came back with a quote of just under $10K ! Almost fell off my chair as I expected less.

Maybe my expectations are unrealistic (I've never had this done before) but is the quote realistic ?

ask him to break it down ... but toughened glass is very very very expensive, so i wouldn't be surprised if this was right.

Getting any staircase made that isn't just the basic sort is very expensive.

Going through this at the moment myself.

That's a good price for they type of stairs you are after.
