Picked my current home to be capable of being our forever home by ensuring it:
- was single level with no steps,
- had a low maintenance yard that will be progressively converted to even lower maintenance,
- had enough space for our family of four now but can be compartmentalised down so it's no too big when there are just two of us
- had a good sized master bedroom and ensuite that can be easily modified with support structures as required
- was of contemporary but not trendy design, to minimise the desire renovate away decor that has gone way out of fashion
Three years in it now and no regrets.
