I wasn't implying that any of the mods would actually go to the effort of looking who voted what. In fact, I only know for sure that they can see names who have voted in the poll. Not necessarily which option they chose..

Sorry Geoff. Not meaning to cause you trouble

Cheers,

Arkay.

I guess it's possible that the Webmaster can see who has voted and who hasn't. I can't.

Even if I WAS interested.

Geoff,

Just did some testing on the forums I mod on. You're right, you can't see it at all.

What had me confused was that you can see it all if the creator of the thread made the poll public. If it is public then a mod on the vbulletin system can make it private. But after you do that it doesn't allow you to make it public again.

I thought we could make it public again (which would let us see the posters votes), but I guess the guy that wrote vbulletin thought of that :) My bad.

Though the admin of the site could definitely take a peak if he/she wanted to.. But, like you and me, I'm sure they have better things to be doing.

Cheers,

Arkay.

The mods can see who voted what but the public can't
And I'll second Geoff's comment - I also can't see who said what on a poll (unless it's public, but then, so can you)

Regards,

Poll's over folks.

Any thoughts?

201 votes, is that statistically significant?!

Must be the 'wealthiest' public/free online forum in Aus.?

GSJ

And here's something else that's interesting (but probably useless)...the average combined net worth of the 201 forumites that replied to this poll is of the order of $342 000 000  !!!

We could make up a pretty powerful lobby group :D .

GSJ

PS:
Calculated using the average figure for each poll category X number of respondents per category, and using 20MM for the last category.

Further, if those 201 forumites formed a syndicate and effectively took out a LOC at 90% LVR on that total of $342 000 000, that would give a LOC of about $300 000 000, which would be enough for a 30% deposit on a $1 000 000 000 property ie. a $1 BILLION property  !

I don't think any property could be that expensive though? Could it?

GSJ

PS: Sorry, I couldn't resist, I'm bored....:D

Wonder what sort of rent we'd get for it :) , or we could each stay in it for 1 3/4 days each per annum ;) .

If it was, I don't think we would hate the fees the banks are raking in as much as we do. Also we would probably have the odd billionaire here on SS.

How you traveling anyway??

Cheers Chrisv.
