hey misschili
I was actually walking around Pyrmont today looking for a place to rent when I move up here. 2 beddies seem to be all the hype - both places i went to were in the mirage apartments block on Pyrmont street. Had around 20 ppl turn up for each inspection!! $580/week and $620/week...
agree with Propertunity regarding finding who their panel lenders are. This way, the valuers are working for you, not giving the conservative estimates that their bank 'bosses' want.
Easier to do it this way than try to disprove something...
Would probably be better for local in terms of increased advertising exposure (for those who don't really check the internet anyway, and like to look in windows and meet local REA).
probably better for local tradies and understanding any pertinent local laws?
g'day all
Have been reading this thread for a while and have a question for those of you who hail/invest from the area:
can you recommend a good solicitor/conveyancer for my brother who is looking at buying the seaford/carrum area? Please pm me with any recommendations.
thanks in advance!!

I had a similar choice to make for my IP and i decided to not bother with a sizeable gap between the pavers...one less problem for tenants to deal with.
I've attached photos of what i did if you were interested - tenants seemed very happy with the outdoor area as it is barely any...
I agree with what some of the others are saying - a place is only worth what someone else is willing to pay. i generally don't even start looking at places asking for a $...+ unless they have sat on the market for a while. This will get the owners accustomed to accepting a lower amount (if it...

Ianvestor, i agree about the tandem garages...

Hi Whozat,
I have been on a break for the last few weeks and my gf had a similar decision she had to make. Old aluminium venetians everywhere in the house, and they were looking worse for wear, and most were broken. From what i hear/saw, replacing with venetians was too expensive, and we only...
not to steal your thread, but when i read the title i thought it was relevant to what i was going to start another thread about!!
Gf's property has 2 pairs of taps (one pair for shower, one pair for bath spout - vanity has mixer). They are old type and was wondering what are the best value...
Hi W2BW,
When you talk about stamp duty being paid by revenue, is this because the place is your first home? what state is it in? Just wondering.
Cheers
on a side note, allhomes is good, but allclassifieds is awesome! Best place to buy second hand stuff. I wish Melbourne had something similar, in terms of content, popularity and organisation.
