Just found out I'm having twins...

Congratulations Ems. I hope your pregnancy goes well and the twins arrive safe and well. My identical twin boys are 19 now. I used to have to tell them apart by individual characteristics rather than looks. I probably can't tell you much you don't already know seeing as you are a twin yourself...

How awesome are chipotle peppers and sauce?

+1 for the Tabasco Chipotle sauce. I used it like barbecue sauce and it was easily far superior to any others. At $8 for a little bottle it wasn't cheap so no wonder it disappeared from the Coles shelves. If you can find some get some.

    Best Live Act seen.

Jethro Tull Auckland August 1974 An absolutely top show for a 14 year old fan. My friends and I called out to them at the stage door afterwards but couldn't understand why they ignored us while climbing into a waiting Rolls Royce with some scantily clad girls. We youngsters didn't know about...

Neighbour stole our firewood! (Aka the tree pun thread)

You could confront the neighbour but he'll probably axe surprised. The police may be too busy for this type of crime so they'll hand it on to Special Branch.

    Home brewing

For a few years I made a brew every month. The various Coopers flavours were the ones I stuck to and found them most reliable but I never really mastered it and could never get rid of the 'home-brewy' taste. I never had a failure though even with doubtful cleaning procedures, Coopers lager and...

Hi KY Did you mean this one? My Wage I bargained with Life for a penny, And Life would pay no more, However I begged at evening When I counted my scanty store. For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task...

Basic First Aid ~ St Johns

Done. I nearly got a perfect score too. Thanks Redwing. It's good to have a refresher on this stuff. You just never know when you might need it, or worse someone might need to know how to do it to you.

    Moon Landing real or hoax

A long time ago people thought the moon was made of cheese until the astronauts went there and found it was mostly rock. This is what happens to cheese when you leave it out a long time. :D

    Controlling your own fate

+1 Biggles. Take it from someone who took the leap and spent the money same as you for a CPL, Command Instrument and Instructors ratings. It didn't work out but I don't regret it for a minute. You'll certainly regret it if you don't. Do it. :)

    Sugar content?

If my home brew is anything to go by there's a lot of sugar used to make beer. One kg of sugar makes 20 litres which gives me 16 x 1.25 litre soft drink bottles. Each bottle has an extra two teaspoons of sugar to prime it. This means there is about 72.5g of sugar per bottle or 29g per 500 ml...
