Any truck experts or truck drivers here?

Can a B-Double truck reverse into a dock?

I am thinking the trailers will lock and you wouldnt be able to control the angle of reversing.

A real experienced driver can reverse a B-double into anywhere. The trailers don't lock. They are always double articulated.

If there was any problems, the driver could pull up near to where the dock was, and unload the trailers seperately, but it makes the drivers cranky if they have to do this. It just takes more time. And of course, to unload the front trailer from the rear, the back one would have to be dropped off anyway.

I'm not a B-double driver. I just load and unload a lot of them though.

See ya's.

amazed by double drivers, I just have artic. they back the rear trailer up to the freezer door for loading, then the front one that it could be loaded from the adjacent dock through the side curtains,

truck drivers

Yes they can. I used to drive trucks and it never ceased to amaze me when I saw the B double drivers reverse their rigs down the narrow ramps to the loading bays. Lots of skill involved.
