Apple chat

Hiya,

Just wondering,

My brother has an Apple computer (being an apple distributer, that makes sense! hehe), but, he wants to get into chat.

What's the best (or even A) programme to use to chat?

Any ideas?

ICQ chat, web browser based, will work in anything
Google MAC irc software have no idea whats good, pc are easier to find software for.

Colloquy, IRC client for Mac

colloquy is what I use, and from what I have read it seams to be the best. It's interface is designed quite different to PC, but it's a nice program.

The same choice is available to you as would be on any other OS...

MSN, ICQ, AIM, iChat, Yahoo!...

If your brother has an account with any of the above, tell him to get a piece of software called Adium. Fantastic software, (I use it myself on the odd occasion I do online chat).

x-chat is an ok irc client (assuming the chat you're talking about is #ipchat on irc). it came from unixland but is available for mac os x

for instant messaging type chat adium as merovingian mentioned is pretty good.
