Hi all
Hope everyone is doing well.
I am looking at buying a block of flats for a refurb.
They are brick outside, with fibro walls internally.
I suspect the fibro contains asbestos (though I don't know).
I am looking at doing a basic reno on each of them (i.e. new kitchen/shower/vanity/toilet).
This would necessarily involve removal of the existing kithchen/bathroom and installation of new benches, showers, power points ? that sort of thing.
My question how difficult is it to go about this with the asbestos issue? Will it be a problem getting tradesmen?
My thoughts are that it must be able to be done as there millions of homes out there that have been renovated that contain asbestos but I am just wondering whether it adds much to the costs and what precautions HAVE to be taken.
Also, I am wondering whether I can just plasterboard over the fibro walls to give the walls a nicer finish.
Thanks for your time.
Regards
Ben
