Brass Polishing

I am in the process of utilising Brasso to clean and polish a number of brass items. One of them, a front door letter brass item in particular is quite a challenge due to it not being done for many years and doing it by hand is a very slow, laborious task.

Does anyone know where they can be taken to be done professionally?

Mr Sparkles in Richmond is pretty good and will do small jobs. The other option is to google metal polishers.

Dear Buzz
Brasso, and a toothbrush is your best friend...
gets in to all the little nooks and crannys!

I would be a little bit cautious about anything stronger than that, as it may damage the surface,
however I would consider cheating and put a (thin) coat of varnish over it once done:)
I do hope this helps

If you have a layer of varnish over it how do you polish next time? I have large brass door handles with back plates and it looks like the varnish is worn off in commonly touched spots but still holding well on back plate that doesn't get touched/worn.
