Ducting isn't rocket science. After all, it's one of the very few things that are DESIGNED to be held together with duct tape.

As long as the seals are good, no kinks, not touching the ground, clearances ok etc it'll be fine.

Look closely round the connection, the concentric insulation has been removed after the inner wall of the duct has been duct taped to the cooler outlet. Being all silver in colour it is barely perceptible that the reduced and crumbled size of the duct actually reveals sizeable loss of insulation.
