Data on West Ryde NSW?

Hey all,
Just asking around for my brother who is looking to buy a PPOR in West Ryde.
Specifically this one at 30 CHATHAM ROAD WEST RYDE

Can someone with access to RP Data give me some info on the area? Or even access to onthehouse.com.au...(I know I'm a stingy bugger but they doubled the price of onthehouse.com.au I liked it much better when it was free)
Its an original 2 bedroom house on a 695m2 corner block, going for auction this saturday.

the agent thinks it will sell for $500k-600k

that's all you get for free

You can use streetsales.com.au for 3 hours for only $19.95 rather than begging here

That's what I was thinking too or maybe a tad lower.
Typical, agents giving a 'price guide' of $500k-$600k.

I have just gone to www.oldlistings.com.au and found out that the next door ie 28 Chatnam Road, West Ryde was sold for $695,000 in December 2008. It's 3br and 1 bath room.

That's an interesting site... good to see what places have actually sold. (in the suburb I'm looking at places are regularly taken off the market unsold)
BUT it is a little misleading. Some properties are in there which haven't sold yet, and some are listed several times. I guess they were sales which fell through. The prices listed are also the price they were initially listed for, rather than what they have sold for.
So, you would have to use the information with care.
