I recently purchased half a duplex (strata titled), and am trying to arrange lawnmowing of the common area and building insurance. I keep leaving messages with the other owner, but she doesn't return my calls.
If I arrange building insurance but the other owner refuses to pay half, what can I do? I understand that the property needs to be insured under one policy to cover legal liability and common property (justice.qld.gov.au)
I'm a little worried that the building may not be insured, and need to sort this out asap! Any advice or an organisation I can contact would be much appreciated.
