Me and my wife thinking of adding another room to our PPOR. Currently its 3 bedroom, 2 of which are quite small, so we need more space.
Did some quotes and price would be between 70k-100k, thats for 1 room on the first floor.
The reason for this thread is that we not really sure if this is a good idea overall. I mean 100k is lots of money and suburb we live ( Padstow, South Sydney ) is not very expensive. We are afraid if we would need to sell we might not get our money back.
We plan to live here for maybe another 7-10 years as our jobs are 10-15 min away, but you never know...
Anyway, is this a good idea to pour some money into your PPOR? Or better use money for IP?
