external company council application fees

First time attempt at developing, we are about to engage another two palces to quote up but we have our first quote of a fee structure. Can someone let me know how these sit.

For a 1 unit addition on the back of a corner block.
Concept $750 + GST
Town planning drawings/approval management $2750 + GST
Working drawing/building plans $2750 + GST, doesn't include elec plan/joinery requirements,etc...

Dsibursements of 350 to 500
All other council fees
Land surveyor 2650
Structural engineering 500 to 1000
etc...

Basically fees seem to be about 7k for plans and pushing through council + fees for any other third parties we need on the way.

Comments on fees? We think its worth going via a firm first time around atleast, any other comments?

The company has the tag line architecture + development solutions.

The T&C uses the term Building Designer and the fee structure for out of scope work lists hourly rates for director, senior design and draftesperson.

I was recommended this place by the REA who does our rentals.

Hard to tell on town planning side without number of codes etc that needed to be addressed, are you trying to get any relaxations etc.

At a guess my fees for this would be $2200 for the report and approval management

Drafstman I use would be about $1500 for plans up to approval stage
And $1750 for engineering building plans up to building approval stage.

All prices plus GST

hope that helps
