Help me find a PPOR - min 1 acre Perth

I don't think it will be big enough. We need to fit a shed (I'm talking barn sized machinery shed) plus 8 car garage.

We have 900sqm at the moment and have run out of space. Sigh

Can you buy a neighbour or two out? And amalgamate.
Unless your looking for a change.

Cheers

you've got 2 adults 2 kids in the family... sounds like there's some special edition motor cars you have... ;)

3 kids but yes none of them can drive ;)

Trailer with hiab, land cruiser, subie #1, subie #2, Torana, Mazda cx9, Karmann Ghia and a Monaro restoration project. Oh and a ride on mower. We often have 1 sometimes 2 other peoples cars living for awhile when DH works his go fast magic on them.

So add space for a couple of extra cars for when they can drive. What about room for a boat?

This is one of my favourite spots! You sometimes get black swans and dolphins. My kids grab a bucket and catch sandgropers, yabbies, prawns, crabs, etc. It would be fun to chuck a kayak in!

I do love that one too. I'd want to turn it into something like this http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-wa-bassendean-113962151

Change is probably what we need and it's not possible to buy out neighbours. We basically have been living on 16 acres and it was subdivided and is now 65 blocks and too close for comfort.

Yup that's why we need 8 car garage as eldest will drive in 2yrs (eek not prepared for that!) plus shed.

Bassendean has some nice ones. That federation style house is still for sale!

At the risk of sounding like a snob at end of the day though its still Bassendean. your local shops/transport/IGA is always going to less appealing than other areas.

Personally for that kind of money I would rather go for something "In the golden triangle" on 1500sqm (less maintenance (growing up on 5 acres it was a s%&t load of work)
Then have a 30acre block down south for the weekend holidays for dirtbikes horses ect ect! for 400K

that?s my 2c lol
PS check out http://www.strongbuild.com.au/ (dream style house)

Oh my they are beautiful houses. Yes I love that style - will be pinning madly to Pinterest where I collect all my dream house thoughts

Spanna... you are sounding like a snob, joking of course:p

Its a lifestyle choice, you wont find this size block in Cottesloe or Mosman Park, where else do you go???

We thought about the weekender but it didn't work out logistically - we want the lifestyle 24 x 7. And yes DH's first though for Basso was "ewwwww really?" until I showed him the mansions on the river.

The federation one is still there but it's a no goer because it is directly between the railway line and garret rd bridge - the noise would be a nightmare! Plus DH said "no old houses" which also ruled out some rather nice properties in Mt Lawley.

What about something at the start of toodyay rd, jump on reid and then your at JSR.

You might be onto something RyanJD. I had stopped at Toodyay road but as it's as the crow flies and a quite a quick route I should venture a little along there.

I found:

18.6km/17mins and 11 acres

28.7km/23mins to school 300 acres. 300!

Alas it has horrible flight paths over it but the pool is cool - and so it should be for $9m
The block we saw on the weekend was directly across the river from it and much better value.

That is crazy $$$$!!! Take a drive down North Road, and Bassendean Parade Bassendean some time. To my knowledge it's not under flight path.

Bassendean is on the cards for this weekend to check out plane noise and maybe a trip back to Swan Valley to try and work out where the plane noise isn't too bad.

I have relies on 5 acres near cnr Henley st/Lord st. I don't think flight path has changed. I never noticed planes until 3yrs ago when kids were doing horse riding lessons for an hour. I don't think it was too noisy though. My friend at Guildford with planes and trains and a 450sqm block, I didn't find appealing!
