High temperature paint

 I need to tart up a free-standing fire and paint a flue. Does anyone have a pet high temperature paint please? Any tips and traps? How about stove black?

Thanks

How about a black enamel engine paint from an Auto Parts shop? Hate to get it wrong though so test it on a small area first.. as the advice goes :)

I have used the paint from auto shop on race cars (engine) without a problem, from memory it was called somthing like 1350f (fahrenheit)

Thanks, guys. Actually Bunnings have several different proprietary brands specifically for stoves/fireplaces, including good old-fashioned 'stove black'. I just thought someone might have used one of them successfully, and have a preference. :)

Cheers
