We're considering buying a little summer cottage in Canada. This is not for investment purpose it's for our usage when I go to visit the family.
I can't seem to find a way to insure the property. I called broker and all in Canada and it's not possible.
Called our home insurance in Australia (RACV), they can't do it.
I'm sure this can be done, many people have multiple residences.
Only thing I can think at the moment is to find a company with branches in Canada and maybe move our Australian PPOR with them they'll insured the second place.........
I thought I'd put this here, while still searching, maybe someone knows how it works.
