Horse for sale

Now - where is Our Obsession when you need her? :D

Selling her because she is very intelligent and needs more interaction and stimulation then we can give her at this time as our energy is going into getting juniors show horse up to standard.

We were going to put her in foal and keep her, but she has so much more potential.

Hard decision but it's what's best for Poppy - we're looking instead for something more laid back

I am fostering a pup on Friday and looking to get her adopted, mods have previously deleted my posts regarding same:(

So, my guess I can place a photo etc. in this section, want to try to find her a home???

Hope so:)

I noticed that! I was thinking of fostering dogs and looked up your thread.

If you are interested they are always looking for volunteers SAFE (Saving Animals from Euthanasia) Perth.

I can only take puppies because I have 2 dogs and they get very jealous, they mother the pups. When I get a new one I have half the school kids come over, lots of fun:)

I would LOVE to do it but after discussing with my family they all agreed they would fall in love with it and not be able to give it up. I found some other agency adverts wanting people to foster pregnant dogs and the new pups. That would suit me too. Our current dog is more like a cat in behavior so she's really easy going. I'm not ready to have two dogs again full time but I'll be in contact with you to see what you have if I change my mind. Will have just stick with nurturing guppies for now. :)

Hope you're talking about the horse! ;)

Yes, of course! I didn't actually look at the person but just took a sticky-beak. Great genetics i'm sure. The horse has a nice-natured look. My kids did horse riding lessons on a relatives beloved horse for a while but he was like a grumpy old man. I was relieved when the kids didn't want to continue.

We foster nursing cats and kittens until they are ready for their 'forever ' homes for the Canadian SPCA.
I was worried I'd get too attched to them and not want to give them up.I was very relieved when I discovered I had a different attachment to them them. Our job is to get them socialised with people and well (if they need medication). When one bunch go back, very quickly we are caring for another bunch. We love it.

Don't let the worry of getting too attached stop you.

Good luck finding a new home for your horse Lizzie.

Oh what a difficult decision it must be for you Lizzie, Poopy looks gorgeous, arabs are definately one of the most intelligent of the equine breeds IMHO which can also make them quite sensitive. My daughters 1st pony was an arab X and safely took her from a relatively confident beginner to grade 4 PC Sadly she is in horsey heaven (old age) and we still miss her dearly. I hope you find an awesome home for your pretty Poppy :)

haha - her nickname is "poopy" as, being a mare, she can get irritable at certain times of the month - but is never nasty.

Our new horse Paddy arrived yesterday ... so Poppy does need to find a new home soon. We'll try some of Poppy's gear on Paddy and if it fits we'll remove it from the sale and dropped the price.
