So let's say if there are around 14 million working tax paying adults (excluding children) it would mean about 1.26 million of AUS people own it, right? I know % seems small but in terms of people that perhaps makes a better interpretation?

The statistic also doesn't include properties owned in entities outside of personal names. It's just a stat though - so is to be read with a grain of salt.
