Hi, I have just bought my new house. It's a villa unit, so it has a pole with all the meter locked inside it.
However, there isn't a key for the lock, should I get a key for this lock?

Are you meaning that there is a key to gain access to the power meter box?
If so you should chase it up as I believe it costs a premium amount of $$$ to get a replacement from the power people. In Qld anyway.
Energex up here made around $160m last fin year.
