NSW coast - brace yourself Nellie !!

A few here seem interested in speccie miners/oilers so I'll give you a treasure hunt for a near producing gold prospector.

Like Daz I won't give you the code but I think I have mentioned it in PMs to a couple of mates.

It's has a large area in the Ashanti belt of Ghana and Anglo Gold Ashanti is one of the world's BIG producers. They are just down the road from another prospector who has become a mid-tier producer on which I have enjoyed a 1,200% gain. Ghana must have the workforce and political climate to get mines up and running. :) Today they announced a JORC compliant resource of 1.2 mil ounces at an enterprise value of $20/oz in the ground, and it will be a low cost producer.

If you find it, don't buy it because I said so. All I suggest is to do your own research.

ABZU is a privately held company in British Columbia, Canada, with wholly owed operating subsidiaries in Ghana and La Cote D'Ivoire.

Nope.

Threw me off the trail with your post claiming the announcement was today, surely you must be referring to Signature Metals with their announcement on the 16th?

That's all you can do. But there are a few things I like about it.

I was looking at SBL a couple of months ago when it was bought up on another forum, to be honest I'm a little surprised with the increase in JORC that it hasn't risen, although we've had a couple of slow months for the goldies.

Had a quick look at Signature Metals.

How much cash are they holding and will they need more to complete the feasibility study? I can see a figure of $3m in a brokers report in November 2009 (page 6 of their latest presentation).

Ajax, I'm a lazy investor and you are entitled to take that literally. Ergo, I cannot give "studied" comment on the degree of dilution likely, off the top of my head.

What I do know is that if the management is up to the task, there should not be much (dilution) needed to progress. They have a CIL plant which will be far cheaper to refurbish than it would be to build or buy 2nd hand and they have economical (grade), easily accessible ore on their doorstep in the tailings dams. That gold is oxide which is what the existing plant was designed for.

I am working on the theory that re-processing the tailings will fund the shift to deeper non-oxide ores.

If I were younger I would cease work and study mining and it's jargon seriously. Once I had no idea what heap leach meant. Today I know that it is cheap but "possibly" polluting. Ergo I would avoid a miner planning a heap leach process in a high rainfall area, for example. It is also a problem in the high lats because the process ceases at low temps.

Is it just the excitement of getting a rig on site?
Nah,i just think it was when you had several large buys in one day,but i did tell one person i know what may happen,, he said he was going to drop over 50k into it over a few days ..imho..willair..

Interesting links Ajax, Thanks.

I was going to mention a thread on HC where an early investor in RBI said PRU had studied them but then I noticed you had posted an RBI chart on the thread.

Perseus should be able to emulate RBI which has a X8 capitalization so you should do well. :D
